M.E.C.H Terms of Service
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
These terms are the agreement between you and Oakbit Games ([LEGAL NAME], Chamber of Commerce no. [KVK NUMBER], [BUSINESS ADDRESS]) about playing M.E.C.H. By playing, you accept them. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to read them with you.
1. Who can play
You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old. Players under 16 need permission from a parent or guardian.
2. Your account
- M.E.C.H creates an anonymous account the first time you start the game. It is tied to your device until you link a platform account.
- You may have one account and may not sell, share or transfer it.
- If you delete the game without a linked account, or lose your device, we may not be able to restore your progress.
- Your pilot name and crew name must not be offensive, impersonate someone, contain personal details or advertise anything. We may change names that break this rule.
3. What you may do with the game
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to play M.E.C.H for non-commercial purposes. The game, its code, art, music and names remain ours or our licensors'. You may share screenshots and videos of the game, including on monetised channels, as long as you do not suggest we endorse you.
4. Fair play
M.E.C.H is built so that skill and time decide, not money. To keep it fair, you may not:
- use cheats, hacks, modified clients, bots, macros or exploits;
- manipulate PvP results, leaderboards, Turf Wars or crew rankings;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, items or currencies outside the game;
- harass other players, including through crew quick messages;
- reverse engineer the game or interfere with our servers.
If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, please report it to support@oakbitgames.com instead of using it.
5. Virtual items and currencies
- Credits, Tech Cores, crates, parts, paints and other virtual items have no value outside the game and cannot be exchanged for real money.
- You receive a licence to use them in the game; you do not own them.
- Crates contain random rewards. The exact odds are shown in the game before you open one. Super weapons are never in crates.
- We may rebalance items, prices and rewards to keep the game fair, for example after a game update.
6. Purchases
- Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms. Refund requests go through them.
- Under EU law you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. For digital content that is delivered immediately, you agree when buying that delivery starts straight away, and you thereby lose that right of withdrawal. This does not affect your rights if a purchase is faulty or not delivered.
- If something you bought does not arrive, contact support@oakbitgames.com with your player ID and the order number.
7. Ads
Ads are always optional. You only see an ad when you tap an AD button to get a reward, and you can hide AD buttons in Settings. Rewards from ads are a convenience, never required to progress.
8. Crews, competitions and prizes
Turf Wars, monthly crew competitions, leaderboards and community goals only award in-game rewards. There are no real-world prizes. We may adjust schedules, rules and rewards, and reset seasons.
9. Enforcement
If you break these terms, we may, depending on how serious it is: warn you, reset your name, remove your scores or rewards gained unfairly, remove you from a crew, or suspend or close your account. If we close your account for cheating, you do not get a refund for unused virtual items, unless the law says otherwise. If you think we made a mistake, email support@oakbitgames.com and we will look at it again.
10. Changes to the game and these terms
We keep improving M.E.C.H and may add, change or remove features. We may change these terms; we will show important changes in the game before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply.
If we ever stop M.E.C.H, we will announce it in the game at least 30 days in advance and stop selling items from that moment.
11. Liability
We do our best to keep the game running, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or loss of virtual items, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
12. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country. Please contact us first; most problems can be solved by email. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, or the court of your place of residence if you are a consumer.
