M.E.C.H Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data M.E.C.H collects, why, who receives it, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as possible: you play with an anonymous account, and we never ask for your real name, email address or location.
Who we are
M.E.C.H is made by Oakbit Games, a trade name of [LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. [KVK NUMBER]), [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. We are the controller of your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why

Photos you take in photo mode are saved on your device only and are not uploaded by us.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos library, microphone or camera. We do not sell your data.
What other players can see
Your pilot name, robot setup, trophies, league, ranking, crew name, crew tag, crew emblem and crew role are visible to other players. Do not use your real name or other personal details as your pilot name or crew name.
Advertising
Ads in M.E.C.H are always optional: you only see an ad when you tap an AD button to get a reward, and you can hide all AD buttons in Settings. Ads are served by [AD NETWORK]. When you watch an ad, the ad network processes your advertising ID, IP address and device information to show the ad, prevent fraud and measure results. In the EU and UK we ask for your consent before ads are personalised; without consent you get non-personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings, and reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. Read the ad network's privacy policy: [AD NETWORK PRIVACY URL].
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive your payment details; we only receive a confirmation of what you bought.
Service providers
We use these companies to run the game. They process data only on our instructions or under their own privacy policies where stated.

Some providers are based in or transfer data to the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account and game data: as long as your account exists. If you don't play for 24 months, we may delete your account.
- After you delete your account: removed within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it (for example purchase records for tax purposes, kept for 7 years).
- Analytics and crash reports: kept no longer than needed to improve the game.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after your question was answered.
Children
M.E.C.H is not intended for children under [MINIMUM AGE]. In the Netherlands, children under 16 need permission from a parent or guardian for processing based on consent (analytics and personalised ads). If you believe a child has given us personal data without permission, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Delete your account: in the game under Settings > DELETE ACCOUNT, or see the account deletion page.
- Withdraw consent for analytics or personalised ads: Settings in the game.
- Anything else: email support@oakbitgames.com with your player ID (shown in Settings). We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
Security
Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) and stored with our service providers, who use industry-standard security. Your account is tied to your device; if you lose access to it without linking a platform account, we may not be able to recover your progress.
This website
This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security, for a short period.
Changes
We may update this policy when the game changes. We will show important changes in the game before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
